After graduating in 1988 with a First Class BA (Hons) in Communication Studies and Sociology from London University, Goldsmiths College, Amanda pursued a successful career for ten years as a freelance Television documentary Producer/Director, winning awards for films shown on BBC and Channel 4, including 2 ‘Cutting Edge’ documentaries, films for The Late Show, Rough Guides and Channel 4 Schools. She later taught on the television production course at Goldsmiths, before studying Homeopathy at The Centre for Homeopathic Education. She graduated in 2005, and began working at Viveka, an Integrated Clinic in London, alongside a team of doctors and complimentary practitioners under the guidance of leading obstetrician/gynaecologist Yehudi Gordon. She also worked closely with the Birth Unit at St John and Elizabeth Hospital, helping to facilitate the Midwife Training course, and initiating a Homeopathy Course for Pharmacists from Boots Pharmacies in NW London.
In 2008 Amanda helped to form the media/pr group 4Homeopathy, whose first project, a ‘Communications Toolkit for Homeopaths’ with Nelsons Pharmacy, was widely favorably received. I have been in practice since 1984 (and part time in the NHS from 1990-2003). I have been a Trustee since this charity was founded. I am a Fellow of the Society of Homeopaths, former editor of the journal, and former Hon Secretary. I taught homeopathy at the University of Westminster, and also at Amsterdam, Chichester, Galway, Helsinki, London, Manchester, Prague, San José, San Francisco, Seattle, Stockholm ... . I live and work in NW London. Homeopathy has definitely arrived in the 21st century - over 1000 of the latest and classic homeopathic literature may be accessed from a computer program which I help to edit. The Society of Homeopaths has published an informative survey of my work with 500 NHS patients – ask for a copy. I have written many articles and a book. I have a vast personal library on every aspect of homeopathy.
