Jacki BeckerJacki Becker
Trustee and Chair

I qualified as a homeopath in 1991 and have practiced for almost 20 years at Clapham Common Clinic although moved for a few years to Milton Keynes and since 1999 I have lived and worked in Totnes, Devon. Prior to studying I was a teacher of primary school children in Inner London for 15 years specialising in Equal Opportunities and Special Educational Needs.  I have been teaching homeopathy in London and in Bristol at the Contemporary College of Homeopathy since 1992. I am also passionate about teaching my patients and the wider public about the real wonder of homeopathic philosophy and materia medica (information about remedies from provings).

I like to work in interdisciplinary environments especially working alongside the medical profession. I have been active in attending parliamentary meetings to this end (integrated healthcare), particularly since the attacks on homeopathy as a science began in earnest!

Noam BarNoam Bar
Trustee

Noam graduated from the School of Homeopathy in June 2005. He then spent a total of a year working in Africa. He still continues this involvement, albeit less intensely. While in Botswana, he helped set up and run the training programme for local homeopaths and he was involved in teaching in clinical setting in Ghana. He's working as a mentor and a supervisor for the School of Homeopathy. He currently practices from Ainsworths Homeopathic Pharmacy in central London. Noam joined the Homeopathy Action Trust with the firm belief that through taking the initiative and uniting the different streams in homeopathy we can change the tide and help our profession prosper. He brings to HAT his passion to homeopathy as well as business skills - he has an MBA, worked in the City, and is one of the founding partners of Ottolenghi, a successful food business in London.

Amanda studied at the Centre for Homeopathic Education, graduating in 2004.  She then worked at Viveka, an Integrated Clinic in London, alongside a team of doctors and complimentary practitioners under the guidance of leading obstetrician Yehudi Gordon.  Within the Birth Unit at St John and Elizabeth Hospital she helped to facilitate the Midwife Training course, and later initiated a Homeopathy Course for Boots Pharmacists.

Amanda has a background as a Television Documentary Producer/Director and Lecturer, and brings her passion and skills for communication and education to her role as trustee for the Homeopathy Action Trust.

In 2008 she helped to form the media/pr group 4Homeopathy, and was later involved in the early stages of the HMC:21 “Homeopathy Worked for Me” campaign.  She is currently helping to develop profession-wide projects to promote homeopathy in the media.

Simon TafflerSimon Taffler
Trustee

I specialise in homeopathic healthcare, with a career that has encompassed training and clinical practice in England, Israel, Paraguay, Sri Lanka and North America and, teaching and research at colleges primarily in the UK and USA.

I opened Life Works, a multi-disciplinary complementary medicine clinic in London in August 1985. After 20 successful years, in 2005 I moved my clinical practice to Marylebone, London W1.

Nothing matters more to me than seeing the curative effect of homeopathy in action, something that I am privileged to witness every day. My involvement in the this Trust is about ensuring that others understand, appreciate and experience the benefits of homeopathic healthcare.
